The Half-Life of Knowledge
Technical knowledge has an expiration date. What you learn in school today won't remain relevant forever—in fact, it has a surprisingly precise half-life. ==Within just 15 years, approximately half of the technical information you've diligently studied and memorized will become obsolete. This happens through two parallel processes: either the field moves in entirely new directions, rendering old approaches irrelevant, or innovations simply replace what came before with more effective alternatives.== This sobering reality challenges our traditional view of education as a one-time investment. Rather than seeing learning as something we complete, perhaps we should view it as an ongoing commitment—a continuous process of renewal that matches the natural decay of what we already know.
