Joseph Campbell, the renowned mythology professor, observed that heroes typically meet mentors shortly after accepting their call to adventure. These "Psychopomps" or soul guides appear when we're lost in our own Conceptual Blind Spots, unable to find our way back to wholeness alone. Campbell notes that these encounters often feel eerily destined—==our attention becomes inexplicably fixated on these teachers through what might be called the "R2-D2 effect." Like the little droid abandoning C-3PO after receiving Princess Leia's mission, we find ourselves drawn to certain individuals through coincidences or grace.== We can't stop thinking about them; they seem to move into our minds. This mysterious connection hints that some teachers are cosmically assigned to help us see what we cannot see ourselves.
